Will Curt Assure Brake Controller Be Smoother than Escort Brake Controller

Question:

Hi. I currently have an Escort Digital electronic brake controller that was installed at the RV dealership. I have a 2012 Toyota Tacoma and I pull a Rockwood a frame pop up trailer that weights about 2400 pounds fully loaded. Even at a low setting the Escort controller causes the trailer brakes to grab and frequently the wheels on the trailer skid when stopping. Would the Curt Assure brake controller work smoother? And what other parts would I need to install it? Thanks, Holly

The Curt Assure brake controller part # C49UR when properly set up will be incredibly smooth unlike what you have now. This controller has an inertia sensor that can tell how hard you are applying the vehicle brakes and applies a proportionate amount of braking pressure on the trailer brakes.

To install it in your 2012 Toyota Tacoma you'd just need the install harness part # C51362 which plugs in under the dash.
