Parts Needed to Install a Brake Controller in a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria
Question:
I just bought a Scamp 13foot camp trailer. My tow vehicle will be a Crown Vic 2002. They recommend a Tekonsha 9030 brake controller and a Bargman 6 spades with 1 center pin. Do you recommend these items and do you have any video of the installation?

The brake controller that we recommend the most is the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885. This proportional brake controller is one of our best selling brake controllers because of how easy it is to use and how well it works.
A 7-way will have to be installed in order for the brake controller to be functional. But before you install a 7-way you will need a 4-way.
For a 4-way you will need a Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Kit # 119179KIT. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product for you to check out.
Now to convert the 4-way to a 7-way you will want a Universal Installation Kit forTrailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This comes with everything you will need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way and will allow you to use whichever brake controller you decide to go with. I attached a review video and installation instructions for this product also.
