What Roof Bike Rack Do You Recommend for an Electric Bike with Fenders?

Hi there, I have a Blix Aveny electric bike that I need to roof mount but it has fenders. Which mount will work? I do have a hitch rack when we are not pulling our trailer but when we camp need a roof mount. Not sure If the Yakima high road will work? Any assist yes greatly appreciated.

I have a solution to the issue. I did some research on your Blix Aveny, and I found that the bike's weight is 58 pounds with the battery attached. Given this weight restriction, there are currently no roof bike racks that will support this weight.

As a result, the best way to go is a hitch-mounted bike carrier instead of using the Yakima High Road # Y02114. There are some hitch adapters available that will allow you to have another hitch receiver opening to mount another accessory in addition to the trailer. As long as you have a 2-inch trailer receiver, I recommend the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-6.

There is one drawback to using a dual hitch receiver that needs consideration. When using any dual hitch receiver, the weight capacity of the trailer hitch will be cut by 50%. If you have the make and model of your trailer and the make and model of your hitch, I can help you determine a solution for your weight capacity needs.
