Parts Needed to Add Brakes to 2000-lbs Axle on Fleetwood Pop-Up Camper
Question:
Im trying to determine which parts I need to purchase in order to add electric brakes to our Fleetwood popup trailer. According to the diagram Ive seen of the axle hub, I measured the following: B = 1.375 C = 1.065 D = 1.065 The trailer already has a 7way connector with the blue wire zip-tied behind one of the wheels guess it was optional when purchased as well as the 4 hole brake flange. If you could help me in ing the other necessary parts that would be great! Seal, bearings, brake assembly, and hub 5 on 4-1/2. Let me know if I should take any additional measurements.

We've got the parts you're looking for!
You will need to swap the hubs for a hub and drum assembly; based off the spindle measurements it looks like you've got a 2000-lbs axle, so you'll want to start with the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 2,000-lb Axles - 7" - 5 on 4-1/2 # 8-257-5UC3 for the hub and drums. These do have the 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern to match your current wheels. The caveat is that this is the only drum available to fit your spindle but it looks like (based off measurement B) where your grease seal sits is going to be slightly smaller than normal so you will need to swap the grease seal. For that you'll need a grease seal with an inner diameter of 1.375" and outer diameter of 1.98"; the correct grease seal for this is the Spindle Grease Seal Set for L44649 Inner Bearing and 1.980 Bearing Buddy # BB60005.
For the brakes I recommend using the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 7" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 2,000 lbs # AKEBRK-2, which will fit in the hubs mentioned above. Since these do not come with mounting hardware included you'll also need part # BRKH7.
If you run into any spots where wiring will be needed you can get 10 gauge # 10-1-1 or 12 gauge # 12-1-1, which is available by the foot, and use some Heat Shrink Butt Connectors # DW05745-5 to make your connections.
I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to have a look at, as well.
