Installing Thule Aero Roof Rack Onto 2011 Saab 9-3

Question:

Bought two kits now and online photos are deceptive. Is this kit supposed to include rubber pads? Some photos show something entirely different than what Ive received... are those extra? I have this installed with a wing bar evo and rapid podium 460 on a 2011 Saab 9-3 and the podium floats above the roof. Even with the optional lock kit I can easily get at the screw to remove or simply rip the plastic face off since there is a half inch gap underneath due to lack of a rubber pad. Is this normal? Please advise

It sounds like your 2011 Saab 9-3 has a naked roof without any rails running front to back. If so, then the complete Thule aero crossbar setup is as follows: Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars 47" # TH711220, Podium Feet # TH460R, and Fit Kit # THKIT3065. This includes everything you need to install crossbars onto the naked roof.

If your roof actually has the factory rails running front to back then you need Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars 47" # TH711220 and Thule Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401.
