Determining Which Trailer Hitch Receiver Fits A 1995 Ford F-450 Cab and Chassis
Question:
I am looking for a hitch to install on my 95 F450. I am trying to weigh the benefits of maximum weight capacity vs. having a 2-1/2 inch receiver. Do you have any suggestions or am I missing a product. If this is a good choice hitch, can you provide me with the width of the mounting flanges so I can make sure it is appropriate for my cab and chassis truck before ordering. Thank You

I may have an option for you, but the # DT45502 you were looking at is only confirmed to fit select 1980-1997 Ford F-100/150/250/350 trucks and will not fit your 1995 Ford F-450 cab and chassis.
Since there are no custom fit hitches confirmed to fit your F-450 the best option is to have a universal hitch like the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver - Weld On - Class V - 2" # 41990-07 which fits frames that are 18" - 44" wide. This hitch will need to be welded to the frame of your truck.
While the # 41990-07 has a 1600lb tongue weight rating and 16000lb trailer weight rating, your truck may not. You will need to check the owner's manual of your truck to find its towing capacity and use the lower rating between the hitch and truck.
