Is the SeaSucker Money Bars Compatible with the Yakima SkyBox NX?

Question:

Hi, I found your page saying that the SearSucker is the best roof rack for a 2019 Hyundai Kona EV that doesnt come with rails. I just wanted to confirm that something like that would hold a good luggage carrier like the Yakima Skybox.

The Yakima SkyBox NX 16 # Y95AV fits crossbars with a maximum crossbar dimensions of 3-1/2" x 1-11/16". Since the crossbars on the Monkey Bars are 1-1/4 inches in diameter, it is a compatible fit with the SkyBox. It is important to note that in order to install the Monkey Bars to allow your rear hatch to open with the SkyBox mounted, there needs to be at least 45 inches between the center of the front crossbar and the line of the vehicle where the roof and the hatch meet. Also, the weight capacity of the Monkey Bars is 150 pounds, so it will give you plenty of strength to attach the SkyBox (which weighs 47 pounds) and load in the cargo.
