Question:
Hello, I just put a 3” leveling kit on my 15 Sierra 1500. I have factory 265/70r 18’s and looking to get 35’s soon. What size hitch will I need?

To determine the correct ball mount for your 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 that has a 3" leveling kit and you are planning on putting 35" tires on you will need to measure from the ground to the top inside edge of the trailer hitch receiver on your truck, and the with your trailer level you will need to measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler.
The difference between these numbers is the amount of drop you need. If you measure the height of your hitch right now you will need to add 1-1/4" to the measurement as the 35" tires are 2.6" taller than your current 265/70R18 tires and only half of that amount will be on the bottom of the tire.
The Flash Solid Steel Adjustable 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 10" Drop, 11" Rise - 12K # FA49-00-5900 you were looking at has up to 10" of drop, so as long as you do not need more than 10" this would be a great choice.
If you need more drop, we have the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2" Hitch - 15" Drop - 10K # 325-GH-317 which offers up to 15" drop.
I included videos for both of the products mentioned, and a link to a helpful article that goes over measuring for the correct drop.
