Recommended Vehicle Wiring Harness For 2021 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
I am going to purchase the Curt Hitch for a 2021 Outback and want to buy a complete package in one shipment. Looking at the 2inch ball with 3/4inch offset and know only that the wiring connector for the u-haul is a four pin flat connector. How does that integrate to the vehicle wiring? The hitch install I can handle, but the wiring Im hoping I can handle - dont want the dealer involved. Thanks for your help!

For your 2021 Subaru Outback I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56040 which will plug into the factory connector in the rear cargo area of your vehicle, and is definitely something you can install at home.
This will pair up perfectly with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C67JR you are planning on installing.
For a ball mount you mentioned 3/4" offset, but I am not sure if you are needing rise or drop. Since your vehicle is pretty low it is likely that it will need a ball mount used in the rise position. I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches - 2" Ball - 3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 7.5K # C45534 which has a 3/4" rise of 2" drop and includes a 2" hitch ball, locking hitch pin, and a standard hitch pin.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
