Flush-Mount Roof Rack Options For 2018 Honda Civic
Question:
Hello, I want to get a Thule evo rack system for a 2018 Honda Civic sport and I see the bars in the pack that is sold here are 53 inches long. I Am wondering if I can use the 47 inch bars so I don’t have anything hanging past the edge. I believe the the total width of the car is 47 or 48 inches. Thank you.

Since Thule recommends 53" crossbars for your 2018 Honda Civic, you will not want to go shorter. This is because going shorter could be too close to the mounting brackets and that will not provide sufficient room to install the Thule system onto the roof. Luckily, there is a flush-mounted system that will fit your vehicle, but not from Thule.
If you have the hatchback then go with Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack # RR78TR and if you have the sedan then go with Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack # RR92XR. These bars will not hang over the edge of your roof.
If you actually have the coupe, then you will want to go with Inno Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 42" Long # INXB108-2 along with the necessary Feet # INXS200 and Fit Kit # INK683. This is also a flush-style roof rack that will not hang over the edge of your roof. I attached a demonstration video for you.
