Trailer Hitch Fitment for 1998 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Pickup Truck
Question:
Does the Curt 37069 fit my 1998 chevy 1500?

Expert Reply:
Yes the discontinued Curt Trailer Hitch 37069 will fit on your 1998 Chevrolet C/K 1500. It will require drilling to be installed.
I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14081 for you as this will allow you a no drill installation. This hitch is designed to work with the standard or step bumper on your year truck.
If your Chevrolet has the roll pan rear bumper the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13942 will be the correct hitch.
The Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness # 41125 is the correct harness to give you a plug and play 4-way trailer connector. If you are in need of a 7-way the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 can also be added and will also allow you to install a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195. The P3 is a customizable brake controller that will help you diagnose issues and is proportional so it will adapt the braking output based on light or heavy braking.
