Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Harness on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica Not Receiving Power

Question:

Installed Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector on my 06 Chrysler Pacifica. Followed video. Thought it all went well. Used tester to check and no power to the harness but have power to car tail lights running lights, brakes and turn signals. Pulled the panels and tail lights off and double checked all the connections including the fuse. Still nothing. Any suggestions?

The first thing I'd recommend doing is making sure BOTH fuses are installed, the 10A installed inline in the power feed for the converter and the 20A fuse is installed in position 10 in the fuse box, listed as 'Trailer Tow'.

If the fuses are installed and not blown, and the T connections that install inline between the taillight assemblies and the vehicle's taillight wiring harnesses are secure.

If that all checks out, use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 and check the circuits on the INPUT side of the converter box. Make sure the red fused circuit has 12-V power. Check the other inputs as each taillight function is activated. If you have power entering the converter box, but not leaving it (which is what it sounds like) the converter is bad and should be replaced.

I've linked to an installation video that you might find helpful.
