Troubleshooting Trailer with Fastway Weight Distribution Where Trailer Moves Forward and Back
Question:
I have e2 94-00-1000 10k wd rd bar system on a 2021 Nissan NV 3500SL v8, pulling a 2005 jayflight 29BHS travel trailer, dry hitch weight 715lbs. I have it adjusted according to directions, clamps 24inch back, 2nd and 3rd bolt position from the top for the L brackets. It works well, but I seem to get a gentle forward and backward jerking motion while pulling on the highway. The actual hitch, connection between the square receiver hole on the van and the square shaft that slides in and gets the hitch pin, seems a bit loose. Could this be contributing to the problem? What could I try to adjust to make it better? I am not sure what this symptom indicates. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -

The Fastway weight distribution system part # FA94-00-1000 is the correct system rated for your tongue weight of 715 lbs so that leads me to believe you either have the spring bar tension maybe not fully dialed in or the trailer isn't sitting perfectly level. The play in the hitch you mentioned would not cause this issue.
If you need more drop from your shank to allow your trailer to sit level we have the part # FA92-02-4214 for up to a 5-1/4 inch drop or part # FA92-02-4315 for up to a 7 inch drop.
