5TH Wheel Hitch for 2017 Ford F-350 With OEM Prep Pkg/Puck
Question:
Looking at 18,00 pound fth wheel hitch has king pin weight of 4500lbs. The trail gvwr is 15,800 lbs. Am I ok with this hitch.

For your 2017 Ford F-350 with the OEM prep and 8' bed I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford # BWRVK3300. While the 18,000lb hitch that you are looking at would work the 20,000lb B&W is a hitch that is designed to last. This way if you decide you need a larger camper in the next few years you won't have to buy another hitch.
Be sure to get a Lube Plate # RP83002 for the king pin on the trailer to ensure a quiet ride without using grease on the hitch plate.
