Will Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack TH9058 Work With Curt 8" Hitch Extender C45791?

Question:

Can you tell me the size and thread of the predrilled holes on a Curt C45791, 8 inch hitch extender? I am trying to attach a Thule Camber 2 hitch mounted bike carrier and need to get more clearance for the rear door to swing open. The bolts that are supplied with the Camber are M12-1.75 so Im hoping that matches what is predrilled on the Curt, Thank you,

The hitch pin holes in the Curt Hitch Extender for 2" Hitch Receivers - 8" Long # C45791 you were looking at are 5/8" and are not threaded.

The M12x1.75 Anti-Rattle Bolt included with your Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting - Steel # TH9058 will fit through the 5/8" hole and threads into the bike rack itself so the extender does not need to be threaded. This combination will work perfectly together and give you the additional clearance you are looking for.

Keep in mind using a hitch extender like the # C45791 reduces the capacities of your trailer hitch receiver by 50%, so you will need to make sure your bike rack loaded with bikes is not more than 50% of the tongue weight rating of your trailer hitch receiver.
