Frame Dimension Range Pro Series Jack Fits Explained
Question:
The box indicates that the bracket fits tongue frames up to 3”x5”. The instructions indicate that “The gap between the mounting bolts and the tongue is not to exceed 1/16”.” Frame sizes may be more standard than I know, but it seems to me to be an attempt to make the mounting of the jack sound as versatile as possible before sale, while in reality, the mounting plate seems designed to fit only three specific frame heights and limited by the bolts to no more than 3” wide. Wouldn’t it be more useful to specify the exact sizes of frame it will fit?

It probably would be smarter to list the frame dimensions like you mentioned. You can use spacers though to make up for a size that is not standard. Typically though trailer frames are made in one inch increments vertically and horizontally so just giving a width range works most of the time.
