Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2005 Mini Cooper
Question:
Is there a bike rack that would fit my 05 mini cooper? It has a rear spoiler without the opening between the spoiler and the rear hatch opening.

Expert Reply:
Since you have a spoiler that is going to prevent the installation of a trunk mount bike rack. What you can do, as long as your Mini Cooper is not an S model, is install a trailer hitch # C11126. Then you could use a hitch mount bike rack. I have included a link to the installation instructions for the hitch.
You can then install a bike rack like Lets Go Aero NEO2 2-Bike Rack # B01748. The long straight shank on this rack will help with reaching the recessed receiver of the trailer hitch on the Mini Cooper.
