Weight Distribution with Sway Control for Palomino 182SK
Question:
I am towing a single axle trailer with a 3,200 lb. dry weight and a 461 lb. tongue weight Palomini 182SK. My tow vehicle is 2015 Tacoma 4x4. Can you recommend a weight distribution with sway control hitch? I was considering the Fastway system. One review said a special socket was needed for installation?? Thanks

The best weight distribution and sway control for your Palomino 182SK that has a tongue weight of 461 lbs is the Strait Line part # RP66082 which has a tongue weight range of 200-600 lbs and has the best sway control at preventing it before it starts. Then for a hitch ball the part # A-90 would be a great option that doesn't require a special socket.
The Fastway part # FA94-00-0600 has the correct tongue weight range and has a decent sway control but it's not quite as effective as the Strait Line. You would need a thin walled socket with this too. Since it is such a high torque, you can go to your nearest dealer or auto shop and have them torque it for you for a reasonable fee.
