How To Determine Where To Position Axles On 246 Trailer

I have a twenty foot six inch trailer four foot younger Im gonna mount double eye suspension two axles where should the center of my first axle be mounted

Expert Reply:
The placement of your axles on your 24'6" trailer will be dependent on the total weight of the trailer plus the tongue weight of your trailer.
In general you want 60% of the frame of the trailer to be in front of the center equalizer bracket, but it is really dependent on the total weight of your trailer compared to the tongue weight of your trailer.
If your tongue weight is over 15% you will want to move your axle forward until get the tongue weight between 10-15%.
