Recommended Tools To Install Bearing Kit # BK2-100
Question:
Do you recommend using an installation tool with this kit ? If so what is the part # for that tool. I will be traveling cross country this summer and would like to carry spare bearings and would like roadside replacement to be as trouble free as possible. What are your recommendations . Thank you

A bearing installation set like the 7-Piece Installation Set for Bearings, Races, and Seals # PTW83020 is definitely nice for installing new bearings and seals, but you can get away with a block of wood in a pinch. If it were me I would get the tool as it will make all future bearing and seal installations easier, and I would also carry along a bearing packer like the # PTW1218 and some grease that matches your current grease so you can pre lube the bearings included in the # BK2-100 you were looking at if you needed to change them.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at .
