Which Replacement Base For B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch BWRVK3400-5W To Make It Fixed Hitch
Question:
I bought the BandW ITEM # BWRVK3400-5W slider kit without OEM prep for my 2020 Chevy 3500 short bed and it has been working great since last April. I’ve realized I don’t need the slider and just want to replace the base and use the existing head. The slider base is long and I could use the extra room near the tailgate. Will this base work for my application and will the head interchange?

Since you mention you have plenty of clearance when towing your trailer with your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 6-3/4' bed you shouldn't have an issue, but I recommend going out to a parking lot with a buddy and testing the limits of how tight you can turn before hitting the road.
