What crossbars do I need to mount this carrier on my 2004 BMW x3?

The # TH558P Thule tandem rooftop bike rack will fit on the square Thule bars. Your 2004 BMW X3 should already have factory side rails that run front to back, so you would only need to get a cross bar kit that clamps to these side rails.
Use part # TH712400 for the crossbars and part # TH710401 for the feet.
