Swapping Q20 Fixed 5th Wheel Hitch to Slider on 2021 Ford F-250 With OEM Prep Puck System

I looking at getting a 5th wheel , do i need the installation of a sliding hitch? I have a 2018 Q-20 with the puck system Im pulling a 2018 Jayco with MORyde system Thanks

I always recommend a sliding 5th wheel hitch with a short bed truck. The distance between your cab of your 2021 Ford F-250 and the center point of the 5th wheel is going to be roughly 38". If you fully jackknife turn your 2018 Jacyco you will have approximately 10" of your trailer trying to push through your cab.

I recommend the Curt 5th Wheel Round Tube Slider # C16020 for your F-250. You can reuse the head of your Q-20 # C16530 that you already have and this system will drop into the OEM puck system.

You should go ahead and pick up Replacement Hardware # C16125-SK4 for your current head as I never recommend reusing old hardware when dealing with these kind of weights and torque settings.
