What Size Wheels Does The Dexter Hub And Drum K08-201-9B Work With?

Question:

Was looking at a hub w/ integrated drum, item number K08-201-9B It says it fits a 12” wheel but then lists the dimensions as 12”x2”. I have 12”x6” wheels with a 6-5.5” bolt pattern and offset of 0. They only measure roughly 11-5/8” inside the wheel. My question is will this hub and drum combo fit and if so, will any 12”x2” brake assembly also fit? Thanks

The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly with Parking Brake - 6K Axles - 12" Diameter - 6 on 5-1/2 # K08-201-9B you were looking at actually only works with wheels ranging from 14-1/2" - 16" in diameter. This hub and drum will work with any electric or hydraulic drum brakes that measure 12" x 2".

To determine the # K08-201-9B will work on your trailer you will need to confirm which bearing combination your spindle uses. The # K08-201-9B uses inner bearing # 25580, and outer bearing # 15123.

To confirm your bearing combination you will need to remove one of your current hub and drum assemblies and look for the bearing number stamped on the face of each bearing as shown in the included picture of the # L44649.

If your bearing combination is # 25580 and # 15123 the # K08-201-9B will work perfectly but you will need to replace your wheels and tires. I linked all of our 14-1/2" and larger wheels with the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern for you to take a look at.

If your bearing combination is different just let me know and I would be happy to recommend the correct hub assembly for you.
