Recommended Tow Bar Wiring For 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland

Question:

We have 37’ Winnebago Adventurer 37F and need to set up a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland V8 for towing. We have a Roadmaster Falcon 2 for Blue Ox Base Plates motorhome mount towbar and will be installing the Blue Ox tow bracket BX1128. We tow using a brake buddy. We also tow a 14’ Hallmark Trailer behind the Jeep with a Curt brake controller. We are looking for the best towed vehicle connector wiring for our situation. When we towed our old vehicle 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee we used a Demco connector with no problems. It work with our original brake buddy and we never needed a charge line. But this new Jeep has a lot of additional electronic options quadra lift air suspension system, front collision warning, lane departure warning, front parking sensors, adaptive cruise, etc. So I am just wondering if the Demco connector would still be the best for our application. Thanks for your help.

For tow bar wiring to flat tow your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with your Winnebago Adventurer 37F I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which will add a 6-way connector to the front of your Jeep, and the included 6-way to 7-way cord will plug into the 7-way connector on your motorhome to power the Jeeps lights.

The diodes included with the # RM-15267 will protect your factory wiring from any damage or backfeed, and will not interfere with your trailer brake controller or any functions of your Jeep when it is not being flat towed.

I included a video of the # RM-15267 being installed on a similar 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee for you to take a look at.
