Does the Thule Motion XT Roof Cargo Box Fit My 2019 Honda CR-V?

Hi, I’m trying to figure out of a Thule Motion XT L 16 cu will fit on a 2019 Honda CR-V and not interfere with the back opening?

When we test fitted the Thule Motion XT Alpine - 16 cu ft # TH629506 on a 2016, you can see in the attached video that the back hatch was not able to be fully opened before coming in contact with the back of the box.

Now if you meant the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft # TH629707, it will probably have enough rear hatch clearance. While the Alpine is 90-1/4" long, the Motion XT is much shorter at only 77" long. You can measure your own roof for hatch clearance by measuring from the center of the front crossbar all the way to the front of the open hatch. You need at least 47-1/2" inches there for clearance. We haven't tested it on a Honda CR-V yet, but I did attach a video on a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan with a rear door that clears the box.
