How to Install Trailer Hitch that Fits 1999 Ford Expedition
Question:
I have a 1999 ford expedition 4.6 engine automatic transmission. The hitch I am replacing fits inside the frame with the bent out and sitting on top the frame. there are three bolts on each side into the frame. Your picture does not match what I have and I would not be able to come from the outside if the hitch is one piece.

The hitches we offer for your 1999 Ford Expedition like the Curt # C13049 attach to the bottom of the frame as well as to the outside of it. Sounds like maybe you have an OEM hitch that installs differently but this Curt will work great.
