Will Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers Fit 2016 Coachmen Catalina 23FB W/ Underslung Axle?
Question:
I have a 2016 Coachman Catalina 23fb trailer. I am trying to figure out if the 2450 Roadmaster shock kit will work. The springs are under the axle and the u bolts face down. There is about 3.5 inches of travel before the tube would contact the frame. Aprox 8.5 inches from the bottom of the spring plate to the frame rail if measuring straight up. I have pics I could send if needed. Do you think this kit will work for me ? Thank you in advance

Expert Reply:
To use The Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers # RM-2450 you will need to use an over-under kit to move the leaf springs from below the axle to on top on your 2016 Coachmen Catalina 23FB for the clearance needed to use the shocks.
If your axle diameter is 2-3/8" you will need the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00 which will allow the # RM-2450 to fit perfectly.
If your axle diameter is 3" you will need the # K71-385-00, and the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers for Tandem Axle Trailers - 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axle # RM-2460 instead.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
