Recommended Bike Rack To Carry 43lb E-Bike With Class I Receiver On 2017 Toyota Prius
Question:
Bought an e-bike - about 54 lbs. Have 1 1/4 inch CURT hitch on 2017 Prius. What bike rack would you recommend. Bike is Royal Dutch Gazelle T10. Tires are 28x2. Could possibly remove battery to wight to 43#.

Since you have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11473 installed on your 2017 Toyota Prius I recommend the Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # S64683 which can accommodate two bikes weighing up to 45lbs each with tires up to 29" tall and up to 3" wide so it will work perfectly with your Royal Dutch Gazelle T10.
Any time you are transporting an E-bike you should remove the battery pack for safety reasons.
You will also need the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005 due to the alternative frame style on your bike.
Lastly the # C11473 requires the use of Curt Stabilizing Strap # 18050 with any non-trailered loads like a bike rack.
