Will the Hands Free Lift Gate Still Work with a Trailer Hitch Installed on a 2013 Ford Escape

Will the hands free operation work with this hitch installed on a 2013 Ford Escape? It appears that this hitch tucks up under the vehicle more than some others.

On the 2013 Ford Escape with Curt trailer hitch # C13186 installed, the Hands-free Liftgate sensor areas will be limited to either side of the vehicle near the exhaust pipes. So it will still work it just has a more limited range with the hitch installed. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
To complete your towing set up I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. For trailer wiring use # 118566. I have linked instructions and a video for the wiring as well.
