Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness For 1999 GMC Sierra 1500

hi. I have a 1999 GMC Sierra 1500 not sure what tow wiring harness i should buy. There is a uhaul two rows of 4 way total of 4 wires plug on the back of the bumper. Please help. thank you.

The correct trailer wiring harness for your 1999 GMC Sierra 1500 will be dependent on if you have the factory tow package or not.
If you do not have the factory 7-way connector which it sounds like you do not, you will need the 4-Pole Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # C59496 which will give you a 4-way connector. If you need a 7-way connector you will also need # ETBC7 and a trailer brake controller of which I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195.
If your Sierra has a factory 7-way connector you can use the Reese Multi-Plug Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connectors # 74682 to give you both a 7-way and 4-way connector.
