Yes, the Curt trailer hitch # C11308 will fit a 2004 Mazda 6.

Since you want to use the hitch for a bike rack you will need to use a stabilization strap, # 18050, to be in compliance with Curt's warranty requirements. You will also be limited to carrying 2 bikes at most with the Class I trailer hitch and will need a rack that is compatible with a Class I hitch.

I recommend the Swagman Titan, # S63400. It is compatible with the hitch, holds 2 bikes and it has several useful features including: integrated cable lock, anti-sway cradles, the ability to tilt down, and a 3 inch rise in the shank for additional clearance.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame tube that goes straight across then I recommend an adapter bar, # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level providing better ground clearance. I have included a link to a video showing how the adapter works.
