Comparing Rear Suspension Enhancement Systems For A 2018 Nissan Frontier

I have a 2018 Nissan Frontier, Crew cab, 5 bed, V6, 4x4, with tow package. Looking at spring helpers for rear end sag. Which would you recommend and why? Thank You,

Thanks for the helpful information! For your 2018 Nissan Frontier there are two really nice rear suspension-enhancement systems that I recommend looking into. They are the Firestone Ride Rite Air Bags - Rear Axle # F2558 and the Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops - Rear Suspension # TABSOSR. Both setups will reduce rear-end sag and reduce body roll on sharp turns.

The Timbren setup is a jounce-style spring that will replace your factory bump stops and will help your factory suspension with heavy loads. The Timbrens do not typically affect your unloaded ride quality since they only make contact and come into play when weight is added. This sytem requires no maintenance and is very easy to install. These jounce springs have a 3,600lb weight capacity. The Firestone Airbags require maintenance and need to be inflated or deflated whenever weight is added or removed from the back of the truck. This will be installed between the suspension and the frame of your truck and have a 3,200lb weight capacity. You can use the system as it is, but you will need to manually adjust/inflate the airbags yourself; or you can add Firestone Air Command - In-Cab, Single-Gauge, Electric, Standard-Duty Compressor # F2158 which will allow you to adjust the airbags from the cab of your truck.

With all that being said, I recommend going with the Timbren setup because they are very simple to install and require no maintenance; whereas airbags require constant attention and also can be ruined if neglected and not maintained regularly. Another big reason is the cost comparison; Timbren jounce springs are a fraction of the price.
