Which Bike Rack Should I Use For My Carbon Fiber Electric Bike With Fenders?

Question:

I have a carbon fiber Trek road bike and Specialized Vado E-Bike with fenders. The front fender only comes out about 8 from the frame. Can I use either the Kuat NV22G rack or Thule TH83jv platform rack with these bikes?

I do have a bike rack that will work for you, but I would not recommend using the Kuat NV 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack # NV22G or the Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack # TH83JV for your Specialized Vado E-bike with fenders. The fenders will likely interfere with the way these two bike racks mount to the wheel of the bikes.

Instead, I would look into the Lets Go Aero V-Lectric FAT PRO Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" hitches # LGA377FR. This is a very versatile and unique bike rack that is specifically made to carry 2 electric bikes with a weight capacity of 75lbs per bike. This will work well with carbon fiber frames and fenders because it utilizes rubber straps to hold the bike wheels in place and does not touch the frame of the bike at all. The straps are nylon coated to protect the bike rims and it works with a maximum tire width of 4.5".
