Recommended Electric Landing Gear For 1993 Coachmen Catalina 235RK

Question:

I have a 1993 Coachmen Catalina 235RK which weighs about 6500lbs. Fully loaded. I want to replace the manual landing gear with an electric one. Will a motor rated for 6000lbs work or do I need 6500 lb rated motor?

Since landing gear is not supporting the full weight of your 1993 Coachmen Catalina 235RK the Lippert Electric Landing Gear Set - Weld On - 37" Lift - 6,000 lbs # LC333964 you were looking at would be plenty as it has a 6000lb weight capacity.

To make sure the # LC333964 will fit on your trailer you will want to measure between the bottom of the upper weld stop to the top of the lower weld stop on your trailer frame. If this measurement is 17-1/2" the # LC333964 will bolt right on. If not you can remove and reweld the stops in the correct location.
