Recommended 4 Bike Rack for 2019 Kia Stinger with Class I Hitch with 1-1/4 Receiver

Hi there - I’ve been searching your site and it seems that you guys do a great job of advising customers on what product is best for you them. I need some advice if you can. I have a 2019 Kia Stinger GT2. Getting a hitch out on this Wednesday. Can you tell me the top 2 recommendations you have for a platform bike rack that carries 3 or 4 beach cruiser bikes? I don’t want a rack that I have to strap down and the bikes hang. I like the platforms. Not sure though which one to get for a beach cruiser where the bike frames are a little different than your typical bike with the straight bar frame at the top. Hoping you can guide me in the right direction.

I may have a solution for you, but there is not a platform bike rack available for a Class I- 1-1/4" hitch that will carry more than 2 bikes, and in reality you cannot safely carry more than 2 bikes on any rack with a Class I hitch. If you need to carry more than 2 bikes the only available solution is using a trunk mounted bike rack like the Yakima Fullback # Y02633. This rack does come with locks for the bikes and the rack, and the adjustable arms on the rack will help keep the bikes level during travel.

Because you're carrying beach cruisers and they likely have step-through frames you will need bike frame adapter bars for each bike; you can use the # 64005 for those, which will allow you to keep the bikes level during travel.
