Recommended Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System for 24 Foot Travel Trailer
Question:
Im interested in the Fastway E2 WD and SC hitch. Im new to towing. I have a 2013 Ford 150 4WD crew cab. I will be towing a 24 ft RV Trailer. What would you recommend.

The correct Fastway e2 hitch for your needs will depend on the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your travel trailer. This should also include the weight on anything stowed in the truck bed behind the rear axle. I'll link you to an article that shows a couple of different ways to determine this, but the easiest way would be to use a tongue weight/payload scale like the etrailer # e99044.
If your tongue weight is less than 600 lbs, use # FA92-00-0600. If it's between 400-800 lbs, use # FA92-00-0800 or # FA92-00-1000 if it's between 600-1000 lbs and # FA92-00-1200 if it's between 800-1200 lbs. There is some overlap in the effective ranges of the systems I mentioned, but ideally you'd choose the system that would have your trailer's tongue weight fall as close as possible to the middle of the effective range of the system. If you click the provided link, you an see a video of my buddy Randy showing how the hitch is set up.
The hitches don't include the trailer ball. For a 2 inch ball, use # A-90 or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch ball. You'll need a 1-7/8 inch thin walled socket to install the ball. If you don't have or can't borrow one, we offer one as part # EQ70-00-4800
