What is the Towing Capacity of a 2009 Chrysler Sebring with 2.4 Liter 4 Cylinder Engine
Question:
I have a 2009 Sebring with a 2.4 liter with 174 horsepower 4 cylinder engine. How much can a tow with this car. Was thinking about getting a small camping trailer that has a towing weight of 1,500 to 2.000 pounds. could I do this?

I found an owners manual online for the 2009 Chrysler Sebring and found that the vehicles with the 2.4 liter engine can tow up to 1,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 100 pounds tongue weight. The towing section starts on page 338 in the manual.
This does limit what you can tow quite a bit so I do recommend a different towing vehicle since you will not get much of a camper under 1,000 pounds.
If you do plan on towing with this vehicle then you can use hitch # 24871. The recommended ball mount, part # 3594, is sold separately. For a 1-7/8 inch diameter ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # 118444. I have linked instructions for the wiring and hitch for you.
