Recommended Rims for ST175/80R13 Tires for Occasional Saltwater Use
Question:
I use my boat and trailer in saltwater. Twice a year I take my boat and trailer to the Gulf of Mexico. Its a 200 mile trip one way. Other than that, I use it locally and keep the trailer in my uncovered concrete driveway. My trailer uses ST175/80R13 tires. I like everything Ive read about the Karrier tires. My question is what type of rim would provide me the best performance, durability and appearance?

Since you do not constantly use your trailer in a saltwater environment, using a painted wheel and tire combo like the # AM31985 that you mentioned would work just fine for you. You will want to spend a few minutes spraying your wheels down after leaving the water to remove any saltwater residue, but most folks do that anyway.
The Karrier ST175/80R13 is a load range D tire with a 1,660 lb weight capacity at 65psi.
The # AM32001HWTB uses the same tire on an aluminum wheel that is very attractive, but rinsing the wheel is still recommended after exposure to salt water.
