Kayak Carrier Solution that Holds Boat Higher than LockRack For Hatch Clearance
Question:
I have a 2019 Land Rover Discovery with factory racks. They are essentially an OEM version of Evo Wingbars. I am using LockRack kayak bars on the Evo crossbar. What I would like to do is raise the LockRack bar about two or three inches up from the Evo Wingbar. Essentially lifting my kayak up 2-3 inches. I need this so I can open the SUV hatchback without hitting the spoiler on the kayak. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions?

There isn't a safe way to raise the height of a LockRack kayak carrier like # LR54FR. It might be best to go with a taller carrier or a J-style which would hold the kayaks at angle and would raise up the rear end of the kayak and give you the clearance like with the part # TH849000.
