Not sure what tools or how to trim the underbody panel .. any suggestions?

To trim the underbody panel on your 2013 Honda CR-V for the installation of a Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13119, I recommend marking the area that needs to be cut to start with. I have provided a graphic showing where this section is and the dimensions of the area that needs to be removed.
I would then use the saw attachment for a rotary tool to cut the section from the underbody panel. I have provided a link to the instructions for this trailer hitch which provides you the types of tools you will need to perform this installation. If you do not have a rotary tool, you can create a starter hole with a drill and use either an electric or manual hand saw to remove the section as well.
