Availability Of Kuat 2 Bike Rack Rated For Use On Travel Trailer
Question:
I wish to mount my Kuat two bike rack on the bumper of my 20 travel trailer Ill purchase the hitch from etrailer. I am unable to determine if my Kuat two bike rack is RV approved. I have noted that you sell Kuat racks. Do you happen to know if they are RV approved? Thank you for your time.

At this time the only Kuat two bike rack that is rated for use on your 20' travel trailer is the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # KU84FR which can support two bikes weighing up to 60lbs each. If this is not the rack you have then you will need to replace it with one that is rated for the extra stress found on the back of a travel trailer.
If your bikes are over 60lbs each I recommend taking a look at the Swagman Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # S94FR which can accommodate two bikes weighing up to 70lbs each, and tires up to 3" wide. If you have wider tires you will need the Fat Tire Adapter Kit # S64679 which will allow you to fit tires up to 5" wide.
For a trailer hitch receiver for your travel trailer I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13703 which will fit Box, C-Channel, or I-Beam Trailer Frames that are 22" - 72" wide. You will also need the Stabilizing Strap # 18050 to secure your bike rack to the receiver.
