Recommended Trailer Hitch Rated for Weight Distribution On a 2017 Toyota Highlander

I’m looking for a flush mount hitch receiver with hidden crossbars for my 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE with tow package. It needs to be compatible with a weight distribution hitch. I also need a 7 pin wiring harness and a brake controller for a single axle trailer weighing 2,800#. What do you recommend?

I do have some great trailer hitch options for a 2017 Toyota Highlander but there aren't any that are flush to the bumper and furthermore, there aren't any with hidden design that can be used with a weight distribution system. The only options rated for use with a weight distribution have visible crosstubes like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13200 which is what I recommend.

In order to add a 7-way and brake controller you'd first need to start with a 4-way, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 56042 and then you can adapt this to a 7-way using the 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way Adapter part # ETBC7L. This also provides you with the rest of the parts needed for a wireless brake controller which is what I recommend, the Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller part # C51180.
