Can A 2021 Chevrolet Traverse Be Flat Towed
Question:
Im considering a 2021 Chevy Traverse to dingy tow behind my Class A diesel pusher RV. The owners manual indicates it can be towed by placing transmission in neutral and disconnecting the battery. Are you aware of any issues with the electrical wiring necessary to tow this vehicle lights, breaking, etc. interfering with the vehicles electrical system false trouble codes, etc.? Thanks.

You are correct that your 2021 Chevrolet Traverse can be flat towed behind your Class A Diesel RV. I have not heard of any electrical issues caused by installing the tow bar wiring or supplemental braking system wiring.
To flat tow your Traverse you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring, and a supplemental braking system.
Starting with the base plate kit I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-523200-5 which won't take away from the looks of your vehicle as you can see in the included picture.
For a compatible tow bar I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-522 due to its non-binding arms that make unhooking your vehicle a breeze even when you are parked on un-even ground. You will also need Roadmaster 64" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables - 8,000 lbs # RM-645.
Moving on to wiring I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which will add a 6-way connector to the front of your vehicle, and the included 7-way to 6-way cord will connect to the 7-way connector on your RV to power the vehicles lights. The included diodes will protect you factory wiring from any feedback or damage. You will also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751483.
Lastly for a supplemental braking system I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR due to the easy install, and since it is completely removed when you are done flat towing it can be used in multiple different vehicles if needed. You will also need the 12v Outlet Kit # RM-9332.
You will more than likely need a high-low adapter to level the tow bar to your RV so I have included a link to helpful article that goes over how to measure for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.
It is always a good idea to check the recreational towing section of your vehicles owner's manual for any special steps required to make you vehicle ready to be flat towed, and for any flat tow restrictions.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
