Does MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent MA00-04500K Have An Automatic Shut Off For Lift Motor
Question:
Im looking to purchase this MaxxFan I have a question about it. I will usually have a rooftop tent on my trailer and am concerned about having the necessary 12.5 inch clearance for the fan to fully open. It is my understanding that I can manually open the fan as much as I want so that it is not fully open. I am wondering however, if I use the remote to open it automatically will that be a problem? Will it mess up the motor if it cannot fully open or will it simply stop when there is resistance and remain partially open? This will help me determine whether the automatic is worth the money or if I should just stick with the manual. Thank you for your help.

The MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke # MA00-04500K you were looking at does have a built in sensor that will automatically stop the lift motor if there is an obstruction to keep the motor from being damaged, and will keep the vent open to that point like you were wanting.
For a leak-free install I recommend using the Roof Vent Installation Kit # 344270KITW.
I included a video of the MaxxFan # MA00-04500K for you to take a look at.
