Recommended Roof Rack for 2015 GMC Acadia with Old Crossbars
Question:
I have been given a pair of aftermarket aero crossbars without a foot kit. I have been searching for a foot kit that will work with them, but have not had any luck. The bars do not have a brand on them, so its been an open ended search. Is it possible to get help with identifying the brand of crossbars that I have, as well as a raised side rail foot kit that will work with them? I can provide a photo of the bracket groove of the bars. Thank you.

Thank you for the pictures! Looking at the crossbars, they don't match any of the crossbars we carry. Notice how both the top and bottom tracks are the same? Usually the bottom is designed according to the brand's "special" foot mount design for maximum sturdiness or aerodynamicness, etc while the top track is more universal to fit all types of t-track accessories.
If you would rather get a whole new roof rack system, we have some options for your 2015 GMC Acadia with raised rails.
A good option (at a good price too!) is the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack - 50" Long # MPG215. This has all the basic important features like the aerodynamic shape, locking towers, and T-track accessory compatibility. It's very lightweight at 10 lbs, weight capacity of 165 lbs, and comes mostly installed. Just a matter of loosening the clamps, putting it on your roof, then tightening them into place. Also comes in the longer 58" crossbar version if you want more overhang # MPG216.
There's also the heavier duty Thule roof rack system with parts # TH711220 and # TH710401. The WingBar Evo crossbars # TH711220 are Thule latest aero bar design. The aerodynamics are greatly improved and the end caps pivot to make them easier to use. These are also super sturdy bars with a 220 lbs weight capacity. If you plan on using your roof rack for a long time, or to reuse your bars for your future cars, this is a system worth investing in. Locking cores # TH450200 can be added to this system, and if you have other locking Thule accessories, you can get them to match.
I linked some videos below if you want to see how they look and install on a 2014/15 GMC Arcadia.
