Wiring Connections to Install Pop & Lock PAL8600 Powered Tailgate Lock on 2013 Honda Ridgeline

Can you tll me if you have a video of item PAL8600? PopandLock. I am interested in the lock before I spend the money on a tonneau. Trying to decide power or manual lock. Where does the lock get the power from? Thanks

The Pop & Lock # PAL8600 is a confirmed for for the 2013 Honda Ridgeline. You can see an installation video by clicking the provided link.

The lock/unlock wires are located in one of three areas. Behind the panel that covers the inside of the B-pillar which is the panel that separates the front and back door on the driver's side, the second location would be under the front driver's side sill plate/threshold and the third is behind the kick panel on the driver's side by where your left ankle would be as you're driving. The 'lock' wire is yellow with a black stripe and the 'unlock' is yellow with a greens stripe. It's recommended to use a test light like # PTW2993 or a multi-meter like # PT89ZR to verify the wires even with the colors that have been listed.

We don't have a video showing the system being installed on a 1st generation Ridgeline, but the linked video for the 2nd gen vehicle will be very similar to the install for the 1st gen so the video should still be very helpful. I'll also link the installation instructions.
