Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2017 Chevy Spark with Manual Transmission and Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar
Question:
Have a 2017 Chevy Spark LS with manual transmission. Want to use the Rm-501 tow bar because I need a bar that fits on a 2” ball. Please advise compatible base plate. Safety cables, and electrical package for a complete flat tow setup for our Spark.

In order to use the Roadmaster StowMaster # RM-501 you'll want to use the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-523185-4 as your compatible base plates since the EZ4 model plates are compatible with the StowMaster. For safety cables you can use the Roadmaster # RM-643, which are a nice, coiled cable to keep them from getting damaged from dragging on the ground.
For tow bar wiring I recommend using a magnetic light set like the # RM-2120 because it offers the easiest solution for your 2017 Spark and won't require using a tail light bulb kit that is very labor intensive to install. For supplemental braking, which is required in most states and provinces, I recommend using the Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # HM39530. The Brake Buddy provides proportional braking for your 2017 Spark and installs completely out of sight so you don't have to worry about setup each time you want to tow. The Brake Buddy Stealth works with hydraulic systems.
You may also need a high/low adapter for this towing setup, so I've linked an article on how to measure to find the appropriate one for your RV as well as our entire selection of high/low adapters. There are also some review and installation videos of the parts mentioned in this answer that are also linked.
