I would be happy to recommend everything you will need to flat tow your 2016 Ford F-150. Keep in mind that you will only be able to flat tow your vehicle if it is a 4x4 model.

Starting with a custom fit base plate kit I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-524431-5 due to its low profile design that when the arms are removed which makes the base plate kit blend in pretty well to the front of your vehicle as you can see in the included picture.

For a compatible tow bar I recommend the Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-422 which has a 10000lb weight capacity, and the non-binding design that allows you to easily unhook the tow bar from your F-150 even on un-even terrain. Since this tow bar does not include safety cables, I recommend adding the Roadmaster 64" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables # RM-645.

Now for the wiring I recommend the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-98146-7 which adds a 6-way connector to the front of your vehicle, and the included 6-way to 7-way cord will connect to the 7-way connector on your tow vehicle allowing it to power the lights of your F-150. I also like the included diodes which protect your factory wiring from feedback and damage.

Lastly for a supplemental braking system I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR due to its easy install, and since it gets completely removed when you are done flat towing allowing it to be used in multiple different tow vehicles if needed.

You will also more than likely need a high-low adapter to level the tow bar to your tow vehicle, so I included a helpful article that goes over how to measure for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.

It is always a good idea to check the recreational towing section of your vehicles owner's manual for any special steps to make your vehicle ready to be flat towed, and for any flat towing restrictions.

I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
