Recommended 2 III Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2017 Subaru Forester
Question:
Dear ETrailer. Ive got a 2017 subaru forester and Im looking for a 2 hitch. You have many. Is there one or two that you rate above the others? Primarily will be for holding a bike rack, but also pulling small trailer. thanks

For your 2017 Subaru Forester I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75876 which has a 525lb tongue weight rating, and 3500lb trailer weight rating as the other 2" hitches for your vehicle.
Since you mentioned towing a small trailer, you will also need a wiring harness, ball mount, and hitch ball.
For a wiring harness I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118467 which is a plug and play installation on your Forester.
To complete your towing setup I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which includes two ball mounts, two hitch balls, two hitch pins and clips, and a carrying case.
If you do not already have a bike rack, I recommend taking a look at the popular Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR which we actually have installed on the back of a 2017 Subaru Forester as you can see in the included video.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
